初学Archive log destinations的困惑

初学 Archive log destinations 对于设定多个destinations的目的不太明白

ocp教程中有这样的内容
create mlutiple destinations.if you had only one destination and it would fill up,
then your database would stop
看得到这觉得，多个destinations是顺序用的，一个写满了可以用下一个，要不然数据库就会停下。

但是看到guaranteeing Archive log success时又有这样的内容
If you have specified more than one destination for archive log files.You should specify a minimum number of them that are required succeed in ordered for the archive
log to considered succeessful.
还有图粘不出来，看意思是如果设了3个destinaton，最小成功数设成2，只有最少两个destinations成功了，才算成功。从这段的内容看上去，每个destinations的内容是一样的，是为了数据备份的。

那设置多个destinations的目的到底是为什么呀，上面肯定有我理解错的地方，请大家帮我解惑。
