question about ATA hard disk

I am currently working on a driver for ATA-4 hard disk. Suppose the disk has been set to a certain transfer mode (e.g. PIO 2,3, or 4). If the host performs a software reset by setting SRST bit of Device Control register,
which PIO mode would the disk be in after the reset sequence completes?
