where can i get source code for Emacs editor?

i installed redhat 6.1, where can i get source
code for emacs? can i get it locally or do i have
to d/l it from somewhere?

and what language they use to make emacs?

i think the emacs was written in "lisp" language,
if you have enough TIME to lern it ,it is great , but ....
Emacs is the best editor in the world i think , it has so many good funktions, any way ,there is also windows version ,you can continue using
it under window 98 or nt. I have use it to edit VHDL and java and c++.
