总觉得，它的数据以是XML文件存储，而数据库里的数据仅是对XML文件作指向作用。

如果数据有两份的话，每次更新都要两次，这样效率不是很低吗？
为什么不动态生成XML文件？

不是！xml只是从数据库取来的数据后生成的

我觉得数据应该保存到数据库中，否则不好查询。同时还生成一个静态的XML文件，以缓解数据库压力。
如果是静态XML的话用户就没有办法使用CSDN的数据了。除非CSDN使用ASP动态生成XML数据。

agree, most likely two copies, one in the database, the other flat XML files. Using XML has a few advantages:

1. it will be easy to change the look and feel of the BBS in the future by modifying XSLT stylesheets
2. it reduces the load on the server, since the file is smaller than a corresponding html file and the transformation is on the client-side

Actually, it also provides opportunities for users to create their own portal into the vast CSDN archive

不过，我觉得它这样做，对系统的负担，磁盘要求都要很大了。有点浪费了。
它何不由http://www.csdn.net/Expert/TopicView.asp?id=536406直接生成临时的xml文件呢？
