Why did my linux7.2 stop often?

My system(linux7.2 installed at /dev/hda7 ext2) often stop(nothing I can do just reset) when I was using it.And it suggest me run fsck after input root's password or type Ctrl+D for rebooting, I ran fsck, then reboot, OK! but it can't be normal for a long time.

Your harddisk maybe have something bad sector.You can use NORTON checking your harddisk.Last,you need reinstall your system.

Yes, the problems may due to the bad sector in your partition.
You might need to reformat the partition.

If you are going to reinstall the system, you are better to try
the ext3 partition. The journal in the ext3 partition would
save your much time or data corruption on each reboot!

Don't use MS's disk tools, it may damage Linux's file system.

vfat(fat32) for listening to my mp3 not more than 10minutes.
