用Openssl API 作https连接，9443端口，报response 408 time out

具体返回：“Connection timed out while reading request”
用OpenSSL函数作http连接，返回正确。
用windows IE连接（http和https）都正常。
请教高手，指点

在IBM的网站上，找到的帮助文件是这么描述的：“Modified WebSphere's transport code to return "HTTP/1.1 408 Connection timed out while reading request" when the connection times out before the request can be sent to the application server.”
是不是需要对9443端口，进行些设置什么的？
