Position : Video Codec Engineer

Work Location: Hangzhou

Responsibilities:

Participate in the research and development for the next generation of Webex multimedia communication system.
Develop algorithms for video processing, compression and transmission over IP networks.
Using in state-of-the-art H.264 based error robust video compression technology, including image / video processing techniques and various simulation tools.
Analyzing and shaping the direction of advanced video coding tools and video transmission techniques to ensure the best video quality.

Requirement:

1> PhD or Master in Computer Science or Mathematics Science or Electronic & Information Science.
2> Experience in H.264 / AVC encoding algorithm optimization: motion estimation, mode decision, and rate control.
3> Error resilient encoding, FEC or error concealment preferred.
4> Exposure or work with any of the following compression and media formats is a plus: H.261, H.263, MPEG-1/2/4, or AVS.
5> Proficient in C/C++, Matlab, Perl.
6> At least 3 years of multimedia applications.
7> Cross-platform development preferred.
