pop3协议是从邮件服务器上取邮件到本地。
smtp协议是发送邮件。
MAPI是微软邮件应用编程界面，提供开发邮件处理程序的编程接口。
网页上的邮件通称WebMail，是利用SMTP协议允许浏览服务器上的邮件而不必下载到本地，它发送邮件还是通过smtp。

pop3,smtp 是他的底层协议。
exchage server(MAPI)以及直接通过浏览器在网页上发邮件是对这些协议的实现。
