Title of the position:

Data warehouse Developer
Department
Decision Support Systems, Global Information Systems

Summary of Duties:

The candidate will be on a growing team of software development and support for new development and ongoing maintenance of its enterprise data warehouse and Cognos 8 reporting tools. Developer will support internal report development teams to design develop document and support new data warehouse objects. Developer needs to be familiar with all facets Oracle 10g data warehouse development and posses experience in both Oracle PL/SQL and Transact SQL via Sybase or Microsoft SQL Server. Experience tuning large tables and queries also required. Experience with source system data in multiple currencies and time zones is a must.

Systems Support & Development:
In This role the candidate will be working on exciting new development projects for Finance, Sales, Customer Service and operations globally. The position will be involved both in new development as well as supporting existing applications on a diverse multinational team.

Qualifications:
Strong SQL PL/SQL and programming skills
Strong knowledge of ETL and Data Warehousing concepts, methods and technologies including slowly changing dimensions and star schemas
Knowledge of shell and batch scripting
Proven ability to implement enterprise data warehouse solutions
University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies
Must have good command of English language including both written and verbal communication
Proven experience working with transnational team of U.S. or European members

Required Experience:

4-6 years of experience in a data warehouse development role
3+ years Oracle 10G data warehouse ETL development experience
Proven experience tuning queries, stored procedures, functions and packages
Experience with design, development, implementation, communication and support of complex ETL Routines
ETL process automation using UNIX shell scripts and batch files
Experience developing Oracle DWH objects for use in Cognos Framework Manager
2+ years experience using version control software such as Star Team, PVCS or Visual Source Safe in a multi developer environment
Must possess the following functional and people skills

Team player
Ability to communicate with US and European based co-workers

Desired Experience:

Cognos 8 framework development utilizing an Oracle 10G Data Warehouse
Previous data warehouse development experience in Conferencing or Telecommunications
Oracle Warehouse Builder 9.x and higher
Sybase stored procedure development
PERL scripting language
Pervasive Data integration tools
