The DBE position is in SSgA Interactive, an SSgA department, whose mission is to help SSgA excel in marketing, client service and internal communications through a well designed and executed information management strategy, tool suite and support

Major Responsibilities
This person will support the development team in architecture, design, development of database schema and processes for new and existing applications; provide support to the development team for all applications in terms of database access, query optimization, stored procedure development and provide guidance to the team in terms of optimal use of data, PLSQL troubleshooting and SQL best practices. This person will support the development processes by managing all environment-migrations, and script-executions; and develop and maintain documentation to support the deployment and management of database objects. Frequently, this person will work closely with our internal database team in Boston. This person should be self-motivated and able to manage his or her task list effectively.
1. Business analysis and database concept design;
2. Database logical and physical design;
3. Stored procedures and trigger development, testing and maintenance;
4. Monitor database performance and tuning;
5. Maintain Oracle database and troubleshooting;
6. Oracle database technical support (installation, upgrade, backup and recovery, etc.);

Qualifications
1. 1-2 year work experiences as database engineer, especially on Oracle;
2. Solid SQL background, experience in PL/SQL development is a must;
3. Experience in stored procedures (including testing and debugging) and trigger is a must;
4. Experience of E-R design tool (ERWin, PowerDesigner, etc.) is a must;
5. Experience of JDBC development is a must;
6. Experience in database-level stress testing, SQL query analysis and performance tuning;
7. Knowledge and experience of Java/JavaEE development;
8. Knowledge of software development models and life-cycles;
9. Knowledge and experience of Oracle JPub is a plus;
10. Knowledge and experience of Java O/R mapping middleware, e.g.. Hibernate, iBatis, is a plus;
11. OCP is a plus;
12. Good English communication (both spoken or written) skills to facilitate the technical discussion;
13. B.S or above, major in Computer Science or Software Engineering;
14. Oversea work experience or financial project experience is a plus;
15. High responsibilities, good team player;
16. Domain knowledge in Financial industry is a plus
