The airport in Pudong has added a new landing strip recently and would now like to have a system to manage the whole problem area.
So far the increase in “set-downs” and “take-offs” has been moderate ,but as Shanghai has becom more popular with tourists all over the world a new system is needed to handle the greater number of flights to and from Pudong.The newsystem should hadle passengers,travelling afencies(airlines),planesand airlings.

Amongst the functuinalities are :
 Plane lists which planes are in the airport
 Waiting list for passengers on overbooked planes
 List of planes that are in the process of landing
 Departure lists of planes waiting to take off
 Boarding boards with information of where and when to board a plane
 Lists of trave lagencies in the airport
 Lists of airlines in the airport
 Check in-lists(for travel agencies with booked passengers)
 Boarding-lists-passengersalready checked in

Plane:A plane is “managed”from the time if enters the zone of the airport to the time if has been re-fuled,passengers have boarded,the plane has taken off andleft the airspacearound Pudong airport,whichmeans it has passedontp air traffic controllers of anothersection.

Passngers(leaving):On booking list(ticket purchased )
Checked in (at the check in counters or self service check in)Airport constructure fee has to be paid,passport/visa check,securities check and boarded.

Passngers(arriving):Passport/Visa check
Lugagage claimand finally customs.

Funtionality of the AMS:
1. Create a new fellow airport
2. Create a new travelling agency
3. Create a new passenger
4. Create a new plane
5. Create and handle a departure: plane,departure time,gate numberand destination airportm.Status of departure: landed ,taken off,luggage loaded,delayed(how long)or cancelled
6. Add a passenger (happens at check-in)
7. Move a passenger from one plane to another (because if was cancelled ot over booked)
8. Output a list of:
• Departures and the number of passenger on each departure
• Arrivalsand the number of passengerson each depature
• List of travel agencies
• List of airlines

User interface demands:(VC++)
The application must be windows based and contain an entrance window plus a window for each the 9 functionalities.
The application must be developed in VC++,the database implemented in Interbase or a datebase like it and.The connection between datebase and application must be implemented using SQL.
Apart from this there are no special demands except that the system should be easy and user friendly to use.
