One question about share files between windows 2000 and redhat linux?

I have two computers .one installed windows 2000 server.
another installed redhat linux.I installed samba in redhat linux
#smbclient -L //10.108.112.13 --windows 2000 server computer.
#smbmount //10.108.112.13/share /root/share
I can access windows 2000 server file.

question is:
I can not access linux share resources from win2000 server.
I search redhat linux computer.can find redhat computer.
when I double click redhat linux computer .pop up one window
tell me enter username and password .
I enter correct username and password .for example username :root
password :123456
but os always tell me wrong .
why?????

has the user been setup by `smbpasswd -a user` ?

do you have following line uncommented in conf file ?
encrypt passwords = yes
smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd

have you set up the permission ?
host allow = 196.128.0.* # allow internal machine access..
