ODAC 是一套VCL控件，你用他做oracle的程序，选用NET方式，连接串用:

usre/password@ipaddress:port:sid

全编译就一个exe，只要拷到任何机器上，只要网络连上，就能运行的，
当然你也可以不用net方式，通过Oracle客户端来访问oracle,

usre/password@servername

他的效率和功能比BDE,ADO要好很多的。

用ORACLE自带的CLINEINT安装比较麻烦的，你会为每个客户刻一张Oracle的盘吗？也许
是我孤陋寡闻，我还没有见到独立的Oracle客户端的安装包（自己做的除外，也比较麻烦）。

如果你有移植要求（数据库会变），当然用ADO或BDE更好了。

你认为装一个 ODAC 划得来些（通用性）还是装ORACLE自带的CLINEINT外加ADO 划得来些？当然这只是个人的观点了......

我个人还是比较喜欢用ADO连接，反正不管怎么样都需要安装ORACLE客户端的，就算使用第三方控间或软件，也同样需要类似的客户端，因为ORACLE数据库需要“代理”的，要不然没法连接.....

odac 有个好处就是可以不用安装oracle的客户端，对于发布程序怕麻烦的是不错吧的选择，不过有些地方还是有点bug就看你怎样避开它了。

好象还要装客户端吧，不然在哪里配置net?
