POSITION
Business Application Specialist
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the implementation and continious operation of SMC China’s ERP system, System 21.
• Responsible for the information architecture within System 21, that is, to control how base information is created in the system and that information is used and defined in a consistent way.
• Responsible for that data integration to and from System 21 is made in a standardized and consistent way
• Analyze business needs and apply ERP functionality
• Assist business users in the use of the ERP system, suggest improvements and assist in fact-findings.
• Develop and administrate a System 21 training program for key users
• Be part of the global System 21 support organization.
• Communicate SMC China business requirements to the global System 21 development organization.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year colleague or university is desirable.
REQUIRED SKILL
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in IT/IS preferably in AS400 environment
• Full life cycle ERP Implementation / Support Experience.
• Strong business and systems analysis skills. Working knowledge of business processes Sales & Distribution or Production.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Have application knowledge in Sales Distribution, Production and Financial.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines from IT and business perspective.
• Hands on approach to work.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING SKILLS
• Experience from iSeries
• Experience from data integration techniques
• Basic knowledge of SQL
