安装matlab 2008b 遇到问题了，求助

我下载的matlab2008b的光盘镜像
我在挂载完了后，键入

[hanslh@localhost cdimage]$ install
install: 缺少了文件操作数
请尝试执行“install --help”来获取更多信息。

请问这是怎么回事亚，怎么解决，求助
我的是linux fedora 10

还是不行装不了上面的文件libc-5.3.12-31.i386.rpm，他说
error: Failed dependencies:
/lib/ld-linux.so.1 is needed by libc-5.3.12-31.i386

我打 install --help 后出现

长选项必须用的参数在使用短选项时也是必需的。
--backup[=CONTROL] make a backup of each existing destination file
-b like --backup but does not accept an argument
-c (ignored)
-d, --directory treat all arguments as directory names; create all
components of the specified directories
-D create all leading components of DEST except the last,
then copy SOURCE to DEST
-g, --group=GROUP set group ownership, instead of process' current group
-m, --mode=MODE set permission mode (as in chmod), instead of rwxr-xr-x
-o, --owner=OWNER set ownership (super-user only)
-p, --preserve-timestamps apply access/modification times of SOURCE files
to corresponding destination files
-s, --strip strip symbol tables
-S, --suffix=SUFFIX override the usual backup suffix
-t, --target-directory=DIRECTORY copy all SOURCE arguments into DIRECTORY
-T, --no-target-directory treat DEST as a normal file
-v, --verbose print the name of each directory as it is created
-P, --preserve-context (SELinux) preserve security context
-Z, --context=CONTEXT (SELinux) set security context of files and directories
--help 显示此帮助信息并退出
--version 输出版本信息并退出

备份文件的后缀为“~”，除非以 --suffix 选项或是 SIMPLE_BACKUP_SUFFIX
环境变量指定。版本控制的方式可透过 --backup 选项或 VERSION_CONTROL 环境
变量来选择。以下是可用的变量值：

none, off 不会进行备份 (即使使用了 --backup 选项)
numbered, t 备份文件会加上数字
existing, nil 若有数字的备份文件已经存在则使用数字，否则使用普通方式备份
simple, never 永远使用普通方式备份

现在上面的问题没有了，但是又来了新的问题，安装所无提示

/media/cdimage/update/bin/glnx86/xsetup: error while loading shared libraries: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

楼主执行的哪个 install？ 我记得一般应该是一个脚本的，可能是 install.sh （或者也可能就是 install，记不太清了）。
还有，你确定你执行的是 ./install ?

1) choose "install manually without using the internet"
2) enter the "file installation key"

3) use "license_standalone.dat" when asked for license file

network
1) choose "install manually without using the internet"
2) enter the "file installation key"
11111-11111-11111-00770
3) if neccessary install "license manager 11.4"
4) use "license_server.dat" when asked for license file
