Job description

The SW department does the systemization, implementation, and test/integration of the SW. Today we develop products both in C and C++.
As a SW designer in our team you will work on SW design, implementation, documentation and test. You will participate in systemization together with people from System unit as well as integration work together with people from HW design and from Verification.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues is part of the work. You will also participate in pre-studies and feasibility studies when needed.
The work may also include improvement of SW development methods and implementation of new tools/environments i.e. continuous improvements.
To enforce our software development capacity, we are looking for young software designers with the ambition to grow and take responsibility, and become an important contributor within our base station development.

Competence

Qualification:
M.Sc. or B.Sc in Computer Science or Computer software engineering or Electronic Engineering
3 years or above Embedded SW development experience is preferred
Technical competence:
Good knowledge in functional and object oriented SW design using C and C++/UML.
Embedded SW development knowledge using Realtime OS
SW development in telecommunication industry is an advantage
The knowledge in digital HW is an advantage.
It is also good if you have competence in mobile base station SW development.
Personal skills:
Good Analytic ability and good capacity to structure a problem and gather information
Quality and efficiency minded, result oriented and flexible
Good interpersonal and social networking skills, a team worker is must
Good at taking initiatives and follow up issues
Be able to work in an extremely fast pace, high-pressure environment

2. Baseband Software Designer (BJ-ED-1188)

Job description

Proficient with physical layer principles of TD-SCDMA wireless communication system and experienced the latest physical layer implementation of TD-SCDMA

Well understanding of Digital Signal Processing knowledge and methodology
3 years or above DSP SW development experience in telecommunication industry is needed
Technical competence:
Proficient in DSP baseband algorithm implementation. Especially TD-SCDMA physical layer
Excellent programming skills in C and Assembly of DSP
Deep DSP HW knowledge with TI, Freescale, and ADI such brands.
Good knowledge in functional and object oriented SW design using C and C++/UML.
Embedded SW in development knowledge in mobile base station using Realtime OS and the knowledge in digital HW is an advantage.

3. GPON O&M Software Design Engineer (BJ-ED-1185)
Job description
we are looking for some software designers for this team. Following are the key responsibilities:
Independently design and develop high quality software for GPON O&M system
System and Software related documents writing and reviewing
Unit, component test and system test, bug fix
Working closely with other international teams, actively drive the task going forward

Competence

Working experience in object oriented programming and system design, outstanding
Programming skills in JAVA, C++/C is required, script programming is a plus
Oracle database developing experience is preferred
CORBA based system developing experience is preferred
Good understanding of basic telecommunication knowledge, GPON standard and product knowledge is a plus
Working experience of UNIX, familiar with UNIX commands
Open and good at communication, good team player and able to work in high pressure
Pro-active and very strong "Can do" attitude
Fluent in oral written English
Qualifications
Master of CS/EE or equivalent
More than 2 years' working experience in R&D area

7. TCM (Test Configuration Management) Engineer (BJ-ECM-1167)
Responsibility:
TCM engineer is fully responsible to ensure all R&D test environments to fulfill assigned R&D test activities within approved cost, time and quality frame.
Daily work includes,
- Design, develop and provide solutions of R&D test methods and test environments
- Network planning
- Set up required R&D lab test environments
- HW Installation, SW installation & upgrade, Data configure, Network integration of R&D lab network equipments
(BSC, RNC, RBS, Node B, MSC, HLR, MGw, SGSN, GGSN, OSS, IP, etc. )
- Trouble shooting of faulty in R&D test environment network
- Lab network maintenance
- Documentation maintenance and updating
- Assets management

Requirements:
- Good mobile system knowledge (GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA)
- Good testing experience of Radio and Core network elements (configuration, upgrade, integration, trouble shooting of BSC, RNC, RBS, MGW, MSC, HLR, GSN).
- Experience of Ericsson mobile equipments is preferred
- Unix knowledge
- IP knowledge
OSS knowledge

Other requirements:
- Bachelor or above degree on telecommunication, EE, CS
- Good written and spoken English
- Be able to work under pressure

8. C++/C# Engineer for Public Safety Project BJ-ED-1166)
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop public safety software.
2. Review and document software design.
3. Perform unit, component and integration tests on software.
4. Write implementation proposal, test plans, etc.
5. Interface with systems engineers from other countries to understand the requirements.

Requirement:
1. BS in Computer Science or Telecom required, MS preferred.
2. Good knowledge of .NET framework and C# programming (if No C#, at least excellent programming skills in C++.).
3. Experienced on Windows Programming.
4. Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
5. Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills.
6. Understanding of wireless data communications concepts and protocols.
7. Strong software skills and demonstrated software debugging skills.
8. Must be a team player and able to work in an extremely fast pace, high-pressure environment.

9. System Integration and Verification Engineer (BJ-EIV-1165)
Responsibilities:
- Integrate hardware and software of different nodes to implement mobile radio network, core network and IP Network.
- Design and perform integration tests, debug node and system issues, verify compliance of interfaces and features
- Work in cross-functional team environment with Systems Engineering and System Development and participate in design, implementation and test reviews
- Drive quick resolution of the problems by coordinating the tests with H/W, S/W engineers and system design

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required, MS proffered
- Solid knowledge in Communications, Signaling Processing and Information Theory.
- Knowledge of radio network, mobile Circuit Switch /Packet Switch core and IMS network architecture
- Knowledge of system technology and protocols in one or more of the following areas is required: GSM/GPRS, WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, and IMS.
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas are proffered: ATM, SS7, TCP/IP

11. Software Design Engineer, OSS (BJ-ED-1163)
Responsibilities:
- Independently design and develop network management products (NBI) for 2G/3G network

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required. MS proffered
- At least 3 years of working experience in telecommunication field
- Good understanding of basic telecommunication knowledge, such as GSM, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA.
- Experience in object oriented programming and system design, strong programming skills & experience in C++/JAVA or script
- Experience in OAM software development, knowledge of Network management protocols (SNMP, CORBA, CMIP, UDP, TCP/IP)

12. Software Testing Engineer for WLAN (BJ-EHT-1171)
Responsibility: WLAN feature testers

Requirement:
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering with experience in software testing.
- Solid knowledge in WLAN (802.11) and Security such as WPA v2
- Familiar with Linux/UNIX, hands-on experience in shell scripts
- Familiar with Ethernet/IP protocol
- Testing experience in embedded system or Telecommunication system

- Communication capability in English is must


13. RF Engineer (BJ-EH-1151)
Job Description:
-Proactively involve project activities for RF and general projects issue.
-Work with ME/PM for all design documentation from RF side.
-Resolve product problem that arise in production and in the field.
-Perform Design and Release Responsibilities according to agreed time schedule.
-Make RF design.
-Prepare RF sample, approval sheet, RF test instruction.

Requirement:
-M.S or B.S degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
-Good knowledge of wireless systems GSM/WCDMA network architecture and protocols.
-Good RF theory and experiences in R&D field is necessary.
-Skillful in using RF instruments such as spectral analyzer, network analyzer, vector signal analyzer, signal generator, power meter, frequency counter and oscilloscope in the Lab work.
-Familiar with TR management tools ClearQuest (GSM) and ClearDDTS (WCDMA).
-Good communication skill both English and Mandarin.
