Responsibilities:
Own technical relationships with a large number of customers while sharing the accountability of customer base & revenue growth with a team of business representatives.
Understand complex business drivers of customers
Evangelize and to articulate complex technologies
Scope and be responsible for technical solutions so that Professional Services team can integrate these solutions.
Identify new product features and additional sales opportunities during sales engagements and communication of the same to product development and sales teams.
Working closely with R&D and Product Management to be closely involved with future product direction and strategy - providing valuable input from "the field".
Supporting and educating Sales, Marketing and other internal departments to ensure that customers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions.
Actively develop and mentor junior staff within the Solutions Engineering and Sales organizations.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in a “customer facing” environment such as sales or technical consulting
Technical
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
Technical programming background
Good problem solver, ability to trouble shoot in complex web system environments
Detailed knowledge across the spectrum of Internet technologies. (DNS, TCP/IP internetworking, etc.)
Detailed knowledge about datacenters, web technologies, security (firewalls, IPS, IDS, Cryptography), application servers
Business
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management clients
Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships
A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence
Strong work ethic – Dependability & Ownership.
Must be willing to travel to approximately 20%
