sybase备份服务无法启动的问题

我的系统是SCO UNIX，以sybase用户执行startserver -f RUN_SYB_BACKUP，出现如下提示：

$ startserver -f RUN_SYB_BACKUP

检查发现sybase备份服务已启动。可退出sybase登录，再次登录后，备份服务就不见了。请问高手怎么回事？
