RedHatE4 linux 不能记录日志文件问题？求助

大家好，请教一个linux 日志文件不能记录的问题，也就是从10月9号以后，系统所有的日志文件都没有新的记录了。处理过程如下:
一，9号那天，我查看了日志文件还是正常的，我看 / 目录下剩余空间不多了，我就想到将/var/log 目录移到/home (因这是一个单独分区，有很多空间）并修改了/etc/syslog.conf 文件相应设置。重启了 syslogd 服务。就不能记录log了,
见不能记录日志，我就将刚才修改的修改回原始壮态，并重启了syslogd服务，可log还是没有新的记录。请大伙帮忙分析一下。是什么原因。
