我的mysql数据库无法登陆

操作系统：Ubuntu 8.04.4，mysql：源码安装，mysql-5.1.57.tar，
安装没有报错，数据库也启动了，但是无法登陆
在本机用root登陆报错

没遇到过 先重启下mysql服务

重新编译后解决问题。

具体的登录不上数据库的日志文件看一下，从中找到其原因了。

原来是未编译所引起的。

err日志没有报错。

执行 /data/mysql5157src/bin/mysql -uroot -p -S /tmp/mysql.sock后
出现以下内容：

就退出mysql命令了。
