在配置内核时输入：make menuconfig

得到如下错误提示

*** 'make menuconfig' requires the ncurses libraries.
***
*** Install ncurses (ncurses-devel) and try again.

make: *** [menuconfig] Error 2
[root@localhost linux-2.6.29]#

去网上搜寻答案后得到如下几种：
1 输入： yum install -y make
yum install -y ncurses-devel
得到如下错误提示
Loading "rhnplugin" plugin
Loading "security" plugin
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
This system is not registered with RHN.
RHN support will be disabled.
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: ncurses-devel
Nothing to do

2 输入：sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev
得到如下错误
sudo: apt-get: command not found

3 输入： apt-get install libncurses*
得到如下错误
sudo: apt-get: command not found

目测你用的是redhat而且没有注册
