The library helps me to do my research workat the University.  Now and then I get the time to continue working on DirectShow COM-headers for MinGW [1]. Some of this code may actually be of interestto you, since it will bring you closer to making it possible to compilePhonon with MinGW.  I've uploaded the work on Sourceforge [1] and I hope it may be usefulto you. The most recent example (currently "ds3.tar.bz2") compiles withMinGW and it tries to open a camera and then capture a few frames.  Once I get some more time to work on it, I will try to maybe dohardware accelerated display and/or video file input.
