of course you can.(i have no Chinese Input Methods here,sorry)
the most simple way to reach the goal is using RMI to dispatch these problems.
You must have security permission in client tie(use *.policy file).
then, all methods to operate folder,upload file and so on are resided in the server tie.you just only use these methods at client.
If you wanna know particular about these,you can look the articles of RMI , and if you want to, you can discuss this with me.
