Oracle特大bug

我的机器配置：赛扬2.4 256M内存 80G硬盘 Windows2000Server Windows2000service pack4 点击Oracle8i、Oracle9i（该两个Oracle版本决对正宗均在服务器上、P4的PC机上成功安装过）安装程序后没有任何反应。

不知道是何愿因，望各位高手能够给予指点

出现这种情况的主要原因是Oralce8 /8i的OUI(Oracle Universal Installer) 1.7.1.9.0或以前版本使用了Sun JRE 和 Symantec JIT（Just in Time Library），而JRE 和 JIT与Intel P4处理器不兼容。
方法一：1、将光盘的所有文件拷贝到硬盘；
2、找到STAGE\Components\oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.24\1\DataFiles\Expanded\jre\win32\bin\symcjit.dll文件，将起改名（比如 symcjitbak.dll)
3、从硬盘启动安装程序
方法二：Oracle 8.1.x解决办法
创建一临时目录，并将Oracle8i的安装源程序拷贝到此目录。
找到目录stage\Components\oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.30\1\DataFiles\Expanded\jre\win32\bin下的symcjit.dll 的文件，并改名为 symcjit.old。注意OEM目录下还有一个symcjit.dll文件要改名

symptom: Installation fails
symptom: Installer hangs
symptom: Hourglass appears, then disappears but nothing else happens

cause: The installer sees the Pentium III Xeon Processor as a Pentium IV.
The Pentium IV processor requires the symcjit.dll, version number 3.10.107,
which is part of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).



fix:

1. Download jre version 1.1.8_007 from http://java.sun.
com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/download-jre-windows.html

2. Install jre 1.1.8_007

3. Backup the old Jinitiator 1.1.7.18 file, by renaming symcjit.dll to symcjit.
bak

4. Copy the newly installed symcjit.dll into the Jinitiator 1.1.7.18 directory,
and make the file read only.

5. Retry the 8.1.x installation

If you continue to experience any of the symptoms after performing the
workaround above, follow these steps:

1. Copy the contents of the \install directory to a temporary directory on
your harddisk.

2. Search for all copies of the 'symcjit.dll' file, and rename them to
symcjit.old'.

3. Go to the \install directory and open the 'oraparam.ini' file for
editing.
Please note this file is write-protected.

4. Change the JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS parameter to

JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=-nojit -ms16m -mx32m

5. Save the oraparam.ini file.

6. Start the installation again.
