分享求教高手：PSP Studio II 安装后无法连接数据库错误
我从 http://www-cs.etsu.edu/psp/dlpsps.html 下载了PSP Studio第二版的安装程序，数据库更新和用户手册。安装成功后一运行即提示：
Unable to connect to the Database
不知如何解决。用户手册中说启动的时候会自动启动数据库引擎：
You will notice another program that will be running while PSPS is running. This is the database engine which PSPS requires to store your PSP data into a database. The database is automatically started and shutdown when PSPS starts and terminates.
可是我这里显然没有启动起来这个引擎。重启机器也无济于事。
硬件环境：P4
软件环境：Windows 2000 Server +sp4+所有微软在线补丁。本地同时启动了SQLServer2000数据库。
求高手指点

在上面这个地址下载到的版本似乎略有不同，安装时候居然要输入注册码（压缩包中带了），安装上后直接就跑起来了。从这个周一开始试用这个软件，感觉非常好，建议大家都来学习psp。

我在干淨的測試環境下幫你試了，繁體win2000+sp4，沒有問題的
另外，安裝後有個sqlany50目錄，裡面的exe文件不能直接啟動

呵呵，你換台機器試試嘛
我這沒有安裝sql anywhere，我也不用它的。
這裡的引擎應該是直接訪問DB文件的，而不需要服務器支持。

在SQL Anywhere 7/win32目录下找到了数据库引擎的启动文件dbeng7.exe
运行后选择数据库文件，可以看到引擎启动信息了，但是不知道server name应该设为什么。尝试设为pspst后启动PSPII，仍然显示Unable to connect to the Database
warton(管理困惑)可以直接运行下你的dbeng7.exe文件看看在你那边server name的默认值是什么吗？

除了SP之外的补丁全部卸载了，SQLServer也卸了，还是不行，我放弃。。。

初步怀疑是windows补丁打的太多造成的。我的机器除了打了2000的sp4之外，还把windowsupdate上面能够自动打的补丁全部打完了。除了PSP Studio不能运行之外，Visual SourceSave服务器也跑不起来。不知道是那个该死的补丁干的好事。
正在尝试卸载补丁，不过打sp4的时候没有存档所以sp4应该是卸不了了，不行就试试恢复系统到出机状态－－IBM居然不给windows的安装盘，只能从分区中恢复系统。

我的系統跟你的差不多，另外，我這邊可能多了，MDAC最新版2.7及其升級包，還有就是BDE(這個應該不會有影響)。
可能你有必要裝個MDAC新版

我的odbc数据源也出来了，问题是sybase sql anywhere engine引擎没有自动启动 :((

我想可能是你的driver有問題吧，打開ODBC看看，重新配置，不行就找sql anywhere的驅動並安裝

我查了一下，ODBC數據源裡多了一個：
data source name : Pspst
database name: PSP_STUDIO
data base file:
F:\PROGRA~1\PSPSTU~1\pspst.db
driver 為sybase sql anywhere 5.0
data source name : Pspst
database name: PSP_STUDIO
data base file:
F:\PROGRA~1\PSPSTU~1\pspst.db
driver 為sybase sql anywhere 5.0

我也下載安裝了，使用沒有問題!
另外，運行PSP Studio目錄裡的pspst.exe後，sybase sql anywhere engine會自動起動!
信息如下：

试过了。
原来安装目录中已经有papst.db文件。用新文件覆盖后删除pspst.log日志文件，还是一样启动不了。

下載這個數據庫文件應該就可以了吧!(我沒用過：)
裡面有說明啊：
Unzip the file papst.db into your PSP Support Tool directory.
Delete the file pspst.log
