Eclipse简单问题：如何调出代码智能帮助？

eclipse3.0：
已经在reference里打开了code assistant功能，但是实际上并没有提示。
另外，show line number功能选中后，点击应用，确定，但是行号并未在edit里显示出来。
请问如何才能让这些设定真正有效？

我已经这么做了，但是还是没有。

我的就是这么做的行号倒是显示出来了。
可是“显示标尺”却不行，不能显示。
怎么回事？

For show line numbers, 有两个设置请打开：
1、window-preferences-workbench-editors-text editor->show line numbers.
2、window-preferences-editor->show line numbers.

For code assistant，用Alt + / 或是 Ctrl + Space
