Linux下J2SDK自解压失败

系统为RedHat7.2 ,java为j2sdk-1_4_2_06-linux-i586.bin，从sun网站上下的，
j2sdk-1_4_2_06-linux-i586-rpm.bin也不行，
按下面步骤做的
在/tmp下
#chmod a+x j2sdk-1_4_2_06-linux-i586.bin
#./j2sdk-1_4_2_06-linux-i586.bin
请高手指点

你下载是在哪种系统下，win还是linux？
最好是下载后，拷贝到linux下解压，然后安装。
如果在win下解压，就会出现问题，无法安装

自己解决了，原来是ASCII和BIN的问题
我在linux用ftp下载的，没有改为bin模式，
进入bin下载就一切正常了
