winform datagrid question

I am writng a winform application with C#. In one cell of the datagrid, if user right click, it will popup a window and user will select a value, the value user selected will fill back into datagrid cell.

It works properly when user click on the existing datagrid row. But fail when user click on a new datagrid row.

Could anyone help?
