关于ubb转html函数的使用问题

最近得到一个ubb转html的一端代码，但不知如何调用，请教高手帮忙，代码如下：

用 UbbCode(string)
就可以了。

我使用了这个方法，具体方法是将这段代码放到了<script language="javascript">...</script>中，然后在后面使用

结果显示：

错误类型：
Microsoft VBScript 运行时错误 (0x800A000D)
类型不匹配: 'ubbdecode'
/test/test.asp, 第 39 行

不知是怎么回事？

你把函数放在客户端，却在服务器端去调用……怎么可能能调用到……
全部要放在<% %>服务器端
