When i boot my system, Screen just display " GRUB ... "

Now i just enter my linux system by the emergent soft disk, and i just can't input chinese now, so sorry !!!

When i boot my system, Screen just display " GRUB ... " , then without any information, so i can't do anything but reboot my system again and again ...... ( can't enter grub instruction screen, and can't enter windows or linux )

what can i do now? Please help me~~~~~~
(as if long ago, one can modify some certain file , but i can't remember where the file is and how can i modify it )

你的系统是什么

若是red hat或red flag

直接用你的安装盘引导，恢复启动扇区

不过你既然已经使用应急软盘进入统，那末直接用grub 命令恢复启动扇区即可

若你不会用这个命令，那也没什么，你的系统应该带着相应的图形前端（就像红旗的控制面板）

运行即可

至于你现在无法输入汉字，那是因为你的应急软盘里的内核不支持某项功能调用（所以他才那么小）

你最好用你的安装盘进入RESCUE模式，进去之后修改/etc/grub.conf，如果你的系统还没有坏的话，可能是因为什么发生变化找不到启动分区了，需要恢复MBR记录和启动配置。详情请仔细看看grub的配置。

My computer is Langchao (pin pai ji)

(1) when i first install winxp on the computer, i find the Disk C is too small (1.9G),
so i use "Acronics" to enlarge the Disk C to 15G.

(2) After that, when i install the Red hat 9 into the same computer, the screen displays:

Unable to align partiton properly, This probably means that another partitioning tool generated
an incorrect tabe, because it didn't have the correct BIOS geometry. It is safe to ignore, but
ignore may cause (fixable) problems with some boot loaders.



is the warnings is concern the boot problems??? (Screen just displays: GRUB )

机器配置?

可以用软驱等启动到DOS下,运行fdisk /mbr,这样能进windows
再重装linux吧(你已经重装过了)

怀疑是Acronis的问题或者是使用Acronis的问题

或许是分区表变化，使得grub不能正确定位root位置。

跟你说，这种情况是因为0磁道消除不彻底，一般2000的安装盘会出现这种问题。
解决方法是：用xp的盘格式化c再重装xp系统。
然后重装grub，方法是：
rh安装盘启动，输入linux rescue或者直接按F5--》
按照提示安装(不要以为这是在安装linux，这是在修复)
直到出现提示：/mnt/sysimage 已经准备好。这时输入chroot /mnt/sysimage
然后输入grub-install /dev/hda (如果你的主引导去在hda的话)
重启！

以后再遇到中国人说鸟语，知道也不告诉你。换成中文再来问。

什么是grub? grub是系统启动装载程序。当我们开机，BIOS开始检测系统参数，如
内存的大小，CPU型号，硬盘类型等。BIOS自检过后，就会把控制权交给硬盘上0柱面
1磁道（MBR)上的程序来引导系统（如果设置成硬盘引导优先）。而这个程序，对
windows NT内核的系统来说，就是ntloader，对linux来说，一般是grub或lilo。如果
这些程序损坏，或找不到配置文件，就会无法引导系统。比如windows 2000的用户有
时会发现开机出现这样的字样：NTLDR is missing…… 这就表示windows的引导程序
被破坏或找不到了，解决方法就是用一张2000的安装盘修复系统。如果linux的引导程
序grub被破坏或找不到配置文件了呢？？那就重装grub好咯。事实上出现grub>这样
的情况还算是好事，这只是表明grub找不到配置文件指定的图形文件splash.tar.gz
，所以不出现图形界面的引导方式而已。要想出现图形界面的引导模式，需要进入到
linux系统中修改grub的配置文件，这个文件是/boot/grub/menu.lst。
