已经装了sqlserver sp3,运行一端时间后，出现java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]Error establishing s

如题，我的运行环境是win2000 server,tomcat5.0.28,ms sql server2000
我已经安装了sqlserver sp3补丁，开始时数据库能连上
大概1天的时间后登录功能用不起来，报错为：java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]Error establishing socket.但是其它的部分可以运行，如从数据库中取得一些信息显示。
于是我重新启动tomcat,结果整个程序就运行不起来了。
然后我重启操作系统，程序就可以运行起来。

望各位大侠不吝赐教

晕，SQL Server 安装，使用JDBC都非常不方便，

建议，换一个数据库！

楼上的大侠，回帖我看了，是不是这种情况：
If the problem is intermittent, it might be due to network problems or due to server problems (for example, the server is occasionally too busy to accept a connection). When the problem occurs, check to see if you can connect to the same server instance from another client, such as SQL Query Analyzer. It may also be useful to use a Network Sniffer such as Network Monitor (NetMon) to monitor traffic between the client and the server to determine if there is a network problem.
但是目前1433端口的访问量应该不是很大，所以会不会是被攻击了？
还有就是个人认为应该不是程序里的连接没有释放造成的，因为如果是这样的话，报错应该是“没有可用连接”，但是我没有把握？
