用ftp安装PEAR怎么不会自动同步啊?

我是按照PEAR手册上的"Installing a local copy of PEAR through ftp"的步骤做的.但是本地安装好以后不会同步到远程啊?他手册上说"From this point on, you can use the pear command normally, and it will automatically synchronize the local and the remote repositories. " 我怎么做也没有这个效果.ftp用户和密码都是对的.路径也是对的.

pear install 不是很方便的么

我用的虚拟主机不能用pear命令,只有ftp,所以只能本地安好在同步上去
