奇怪的问题

我们的程序在其中一台test server上就运行正常，但在另外一台上就有如下问题

用的是 asp.net， 选择pdf/execl report的时候，会提示下载一个 aspx 文件，如果选择打开，就会用 vs.net 打开，但如果我选择保存，然后更改后缀名，其实是一个正确的 pdf or excel 文件。

同样的代码，另外一台机器就完全没有问题，可以打开一个新ie，然后用plugin 在ie里查看report

请问是不是有什么机器设置上的问题应该注意一下？

建议：
1、查看是否安装了能打开pdf or excel文件的程序和相应关联！
2、比较两机器internet选项--安全--internet--自定义设置--安全设置
.net相关组件和activex控件和插件的设置

不是太明白为什么要检查IE, ie 不是客户端吗？

另外， 两台机器都没有装 pdf reader or excel
而且，那台有问题的机器上，相关的目录都授予 everyone full permission

还有什么提示吗？

ok, i will post the reason and my solution here.

this is actually a MS bug, you could go to MS KB find more detail information.

the reason is we turn on the http compression for aspx, while IE can't understand the compressed stream, for pdf or excel.

the solution we use is, we create a different extension name for report generation page, and add the aspx http handler to that file, but we don't use http compression for them. then it works.
