This position is responsible for the design, implementation, unit test, and documentation of software for the company's embedded control systems and PC-based workstations. Responsibilities will include development of C and C++ language code for applications used by customers running validated environment systems.
Development will be targeted at the Microsoft Windows embedded operating systems (Windows XP-embedded and Windows CE).
Developers should have exposure to Object Oriented development technologies, and be able to learn new applications quickly. It is expected that they will be able to learn components within the Metasys software architecture, and once requirements and designs are understood, they will be able to carry out their development with limited supervision.
We require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline with 5+ years experience in software design, implementation and unit test using the C/C++ programming languages, at least 2 years of Object Oriented software development experience, and experience with software development tools and source code control practices.
We also require demonstrated understanding of the entire software development lifecycle. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment are required. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual C++, and Windows XP is required.
It is desired that the candidate have experience developing software for real-time process control systems. Prior experience developing software for validated environments is a plus.
