1）Development Engineer
Major Duties and Responsibilities

You will be expected to design and implement solutions to embody product vision and requirements. You are also expected to drive intra-group and inter-group initiatives, and be the domain expert. Work closely with testing and documentation team to ensure that our customers are able to work with our platform and that their feedback is incorporated into the product. You need to be able to juggle multiple simultaneous projects using proven organizational skills, adhere to project deadlines and understand the balance between doing it right and getting the job done. You need to work well in a team environment and be able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.

Qualifications/Necessary Skills
• Deep understanding of infrastructure software architectural and design issues.
• Effective at architecting complex interactions across many subsystems to resolve real-world issues, articulating the architecture and obtaining buy-in from other teams.
• Excellent design and implementation skills, including ability to produce detailed design specifications. Experienced in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD), UML.
• Extensive working knowledge in J2EE JDBC specs and JCA. Good working knowledge on JTA and distributed transactions.
• Solid systems-level programming skills in Java (not just application layer experience).
• Strong understanding of J2EE technologies, knowledge of messaging and asynchronous architectures.
• Strong background in compiler is preferred. Experience in JSP compiler is a plus.
• Deep understanding of performance, memory, I/O, threading and ClassLoading is highly desirable.
• Good data architecture, RDBMS (Oracle, DB2), and XML expertise. Able to adopt and extend industry standard schemas to meet complex internal and interface requirements.
• Solid skill in development tool like ant, java IDE such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA.
• Familiar with unit test tools such as JUnit, MockObject, HttpUnit, Cactus.
• Proficient in a variety of software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Excellent speaking and written communication skills in English.

2)Software Engineer
Major responsibilities:
• Functional analysis and specifications development.
• Coding, testing and maintenance of the software products.
• Conduct unit tests and produce software product engineering (SPE) documentations.
• Develop unit test plans and execute unit test cases.

Additional responsibilities:
• Status reports to management.
• Development of project test plans.
• Analyzing risk trade-offs.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
• Solid experience with Java other programming languages in the industry with the ability to develop telecom carrier grade software products.
• 2 - 8 years of product development experience in JAVA / J2EE or equivalent technologies.
• Familiar with JAVA development, testing and debugging tools.
• Familiar with Web Services and Web Applications, both architecture and implementation.
• Excellent problem analyzing and troubleshooting skill.
• Experience with test automation or test automation development (JUnit / Cruise Control a plus).
• Familiar with Solaris/Linux/Windows platforms.
• Background knowledge of SIP protocol and SIP applications is a plus.

3)Field Engineers – Telecommunications Products
Major Job Duties
• Create and deliver customer sales presentations articulating how WebLogic Communications Platform products can be utilized in customer environments and solve customer problems or capitalize on opportunities. Engage at senior technical levels, providing clear domain expertise in telecommunications networks, systems and applications.
• Architect, design and deliver proof-of-concept and pilot implementations of WebLogic Communications Platform products on site with customers.
• Define and create a portfolio of compelling sample applications that demonstrate the value of WebLogic Communications Platform products in real-world scenarios.
• Support value-proposition development and go-to-market activities with in-depth telecom domain knowledge. Evangelize BEA’s value proposition with customers, industry and internal BEA organizations.
• Lead BEA’s push into the telecom vertical by designing and delivering detailed technical training material to customer, partner and BEA field organizations covering the WebLogic Communications Platform product line. Provide in-depth technical knowledge of circuit and packet based communications network architectures and protocols.
Experience
• 7-10 years telecommunications industry experience
• 6 years experience as an systems engineer, consultant with customer focus, or equivalent experience
Technical Skills
• Understanding of communications network architectures and topologies
• Understanding of telecommunication standards and protocols (3GPP standards, ETSI standards, IETF standards, etc)
• Understanding of telecom network traffic analysis and performance and capacity planning strategies and techniques
• Experience implementing carrier-grade network architectures for voice or services over IP and converged (circuit/packet, fixed/mobile) networks
• Understanding of telecommunication operations, administration and maintenance processes and systems, including monitoring, surveillance and NOC (network operations center) integration
• Development of call-control applications or services; basic call models and call-state analysis
• Understanding of SIP servlet programming
• Understanding of Parlay and ParlayX APIs
• Development experience with J2EE and Java
• Competent in Web Service architectures and standards

Education

4)Customer Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
Customer Support Engineer for Plumtree/Aqualogic Portal Support will be responsible for working with customers and first level support to resolve reported issues. Engineer will:
- Provide customer and systems support of enterprise web technology software and systems.
- Troubleshoot and analyze databases, application servers and new technologies, with a focus on web servers and application servers (Tomcat, BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, IIS, Apache), Windows and Unix system administration (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HPUX), Java and .Net Application Programming Interfaces (API's).
- Interact with customers, partners, and software developers to provide technical advice and assistance.
- Work with Sustaining Engineering in prioritizing and resolving technical or politically escalated support issues.
- Assist First Tier in support of newly released products.
- Identify and document product defects for Development Engineering.
- Review design specifications and external technical publications and provide feedback resulting from reviews.

Requirements:
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in all areas above (ALUI Portal knowledge is a major consideration).
- Excellent communication skills oral and written.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and assist others in that effort.
- Ability to read and analyze network trace data in an effort to gather data and troubleshoot issues.
- Advanced customer support and communications skills
- Ability to read through Java, .NET and HTML code strings in an effort analyze and resolve customer reported issues.
- Language skills in English, both spoken and written required as well as Traditional Chinese
