2.Demand Analysis Based on NABCD Model

(1)Need

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, a symbol of reunion and happiness. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, families or communities in southern Fujian and Taiwan will spontaneously hold Mid-Autumn Bobing activities. Participants take turns throwing six dice to win the first prize, the second place on the list, the flower exploration, the Jinshi, the Juren and the Xiucai, and get mooncakes of different sizes according to the order. The game rules of Bobing are simple and fair, full of competition and suspense, and full of life interest, which has always been loved by the general public. However, in recent years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people can not gather together, and it is difficult to carry out offline Bobing activities, so we plan to develop an online Bobing mini program to continue the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the fun of Bobing.

(2)Approach

For the prototype design, our team used the AXURE PR10 software. We used some beautiful backgrounds, some simple interactions, and added moving dice to enhance the user experience. We also added score boards and friend rankings in the future development to increase the fun of the game. The back-end code we implemented in python.

(3)Benefit

  • You just need to click the wechat mini program on your mobile phone to play the game, which breaks the restriction that people can't get together during the epidemic and can continue to enjoy the strong atmosphere of the traditional festival.
  •  The strong UI design of Mid-Autumn Festival enables users to better experience the traditional festive atmosphere.
  •  We set up a friend ranking module to let users enjoy the fun of competition.

(4)Competition

Nowadays, there are a lot of wechat mini programs, but most of them have ugly UI, lots of popover ads, and some profit-oriented props. There are even no rules of the game, so the game experience is poor and the winning probability is unfair.

(5)Delivery

We promote our mini program online through multiple platforms, such as wechat Moments, Douyin, Bilibili, etc., and offline by distributing leaflets for campus Mid-Autumn Festival activities.

 4.Summary

Through this experiment, through the communication and collaboration among our team members, I learned axure, MoDao, MoKe and other software, mastered some operation steps of Axure RP10, designed beautiful UI interface, and demonstrated some products through Axure RP10. I find prototyping also requires a lot of logic, and the process of prototyping is fun. In the following back-end design we will continue to optimize our product.
